Phones for Schools
Mobile phones contain toxic materials such as lead and
cadnium. If thrown away and sent to incinerators or landfills,
environmental contamination can occur from combustion
and from the harmful materials seeping into soil and
groundwater. Some mobile phone components are extremely
poisonous; for example, the cadnium in one mobile phone
battery can pollute 600,000 litres of water.
ct-uk™ mobile division is offering schools the
opportunity to raise funds and help children to understand
the environmental benefits of recycling at the same time.
Our proposal is very simple; the school send a letter
to every child, asking their parents to donate any old
mobile phone they can find. Isis will provide the school
with a collection/recycle bin where each phone should
be placed. Once the campaign is finished we will collect
the bin, free of charge. All the phones are processed
and valued depending on their age, condition and serviceability,
with the average the value of each handset typically
being around £5. With reasonable support from your
parents, staff and pupils, your school could raise a
substantial amount of money and help save the environment.
ct-uk™ has made this proposal as simple as possible
and we have even designed the marketing posters for you
to place around the school. All of this can be achieved
with little or no effort and not one crisp packet or
supermarket school voucher is required!
As an independent solutions provider, ct-uk™ will ensure all equipment recommendations are only based upon your requirements. Our advice is focused on a "best for your organisation" approach.
